Endless Bikes to bring the 7075 love....

The folks from Endless Bikes are stepping up and helping everyone at SSUSA sure up their one speed drive trains. Anyone who trades in an old cog will get a lucky $7 off a purchase of a new Endless Kick-Ass-Cog. Also, make sure to ask about their Fibonacci Spacer kits, the best thought out spacer kit solution on the market. Here's a info about their cogs I stole from their website.

"At a full quarter inch wide (6.35mm) at the splines, Kick-Ass-Cogs simply will not damage your free hub body the way a narrower cog can. Made of high strength 7075-T6 alloy (Stronger and harder than most common steels), Kick-Ass-Cogs are precision machined insuring perfect axial and radial alignment that compliments the superior chain lines that cassette style hubs allow.

Like all EndlessBikeCo. Products, Kick-Ass-Cogs are made right here in Western North Carolina; not in some faceless factory on the other side of the planet."

Its SSUSA right? Come out and meet Shanna this weekend, and thank her for continuing to make bike parts on this side of the pond. She'll also have a few cogs leaving in the hands of our top riders for the weekend. Come on out and get yours.

If you haven't heard much about Industry Nine, check out their website, or look at the guy's wheels infront of you at the next race.

Gettin Close Y'all

Three weeks to go folks. The madness of SSUSA is coming together. We've gone over the course with a fine tooth comb to make it just so. We've got all our events lined up for both days. Now we're just waiting to see you all come out for two days of a little fun, a little ass kicking, a lot of bike riding, and a little of the unexpected.

Remember you can register here. It really helps us out to have you sign up early. So if you're committed to handing over a weekend of your life to us, go on and get signed up. There just might be something special from a certain sock maker in it for ya. I'm just sayin....

Saturday is gonna be nice 'ole mix of leg burning Short Track, thirst quenching Terrapin beer, and a Night Time Trial; all three of which might help ya stay in contention for the SSUSA title on Sunday. Who doesn't wanna have their name added to the SSUSA legacy? Alright, so its been two years, but get in early while you still can. You aren't getting any younger.

Sunday's gonna be a demanding as all get out XC race. Three to four laps of our course will be part pain part pleasure. There ain't a lot of coasting, and there ain't a lot of places to fall asleep. Lots of roots. Lots of off camber. Tight east coast riding at its best. Stay close to that guy in front of you and wait for your opportunity kinda riding.

When its all said and done, the best of the best from the weekend are gonna duke it out in one final event. Everyone's got a pretty fair shot of making the final round. Come show us your best, and we'll see who's gonna battle for the title.

Just finished the order for our custom belt buckles. Because we can't let our winners run off with the coveted Wrestling Belt...we do let them scamper home with a little more medal holding their pants up. One each for the ladies and the gents. And remember...its SSUSA...so anything can happen. Come throw your hat in the ring.

Time to sign the dotted line

Our registration site is finally all set up and awaiting your fun filled visit. We know you'd rather be lazy, stand in line, and exchange money on race day, but c'mon, the interweb is all the rage these days, and it'll let us know what we're in for.

Do us a favor and Sign Up Now so we can deal with the rest of your shenanigans on race day rather than counting your crumpled up one dollar bills.

$45 bucks gets you two days of fun, "racing," and a shot at the SSUSA Belt. If you're shy, just come out for the XC race on Sunday and give us your $25. If you're lucky enough to live in Georgia, you'll be in the running for the state championship. If you don't live in Georgia, you can still try to beat all of them and start an MTBR thread about how you're faster than everyone in the 13th colony. Either way they'll be plenty of fun, beer, and chances to take some stuff home with you.

Cheers

Quite a week....

Alrighty....so after months of work, SSUSA is splitting ways with the Conasauga Ranger District and the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests. Mountain biking is under attack there, and we don't feel we should have to limit a race to a paltry 30 racers just to play nice. In the nicest words possible; Thanks but no thanks. We'll all continue to ride the great trails in the area, and the local clubs will continue to do great trail work....but so we don't hurt anymore feelings, we're taking the race on the road

So the news everyone is waiting for....

WE HAVE A HOME !!!!!!!!

We're headed to Athens. Like R.E.M. and the B-52s Athens. That Athens. We got ourselves a nice big 'ole piece of private land to play on. Singletrack, open spaces, plenty of camping, and a Barn. Hawkes Creek Farm will be our gracious host this year, along with the unsuspecting town of Athens, Georgia. Oh the possibilities....

AND

SSUSA is also going to be the Georgia State Single Speed Championship. So all you proud peaches can vie for bragging rights and the state jersey in a number of different categories. More details to come. We're a single speed race after all, and have limited capacity to deliver/handle new news, so stay tuned and you'll get all the updates you need.

Folks, be flexible. SSUSA is going through some unforeseen change. We're like a small child that has no idea what it wants, but it sure as hell knows its birthday.

May 16th is going to stick.

The location(s) will be changing. And if it ends up two girls for every guy, we'll be winners.
